Our stay at ITC Grand Chola was nothing short of amazing. The hotel was gigantic and looked palacious with large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the large stair cases, a floor full of large swimming pools and hotel rooms overlooking the pool as well as Chennai Metro.
We stayed at the Towers which had incredibly large rooms, the hospitality was superior - the staff was very generous, attentive. The buffet was rich in terms of spread and wide range of everything. If you have fond of Idlis then you will find cotton soft idlis there during the buffet which tasted yum.
If you are traveling with infants, you can in there for a surprise. Do check with them what's provided complimentary for them.
