American Express Rewards is one of the good credit cards for people who wanted an AMEX credit card without much of annual credit card fees yet has really good features.
One of the top features of American Express Rewards is that you just need to make 4 transactions every month of minimum INR 1500 each and you will get 1000 bonus points.
In a year, you can potentially earn 12,000 points (in addition to the usual points that you will earn for every eligible spent) which can be easily transferred to your Marriott Bonvoy account at 1:1 ratio or you can redeem your points for Taj vouchers/ Tanishq vouchers.
Annual fees for American Express Rewards Credit Card is -
- First Year fee : Rs. 1,000 plus applicable taxes
- Second Year onwards : Rs. 4,500 plus applicable taxes (100% of fee is waived off if total spends on Credit Card in the immediately preceding membership year is Rs.1,50,000 and above; else 50% annual membership renewal fee will be waived off if total spends on Credit Card in the immediately preceding membership year is Rs.90,000 to Rs.1,49,999.)

- We earn 1,000 Bonus Points for using the card 4 times on transactions of Rs. 1,500 or above every month. This is an mandatory exercise for us!

- We earn 1 Membership Rewards® Point for every eligible Rs. 50 spent except for spend on Fuel, Insurance, Utilities, Cash Transactions and EMI conversion at Point of Sale. Check official website for inclusions/ exclusions.
- Redemption of the points - While there are various options to redeem points, to maximise return, we have redeemed 24,000 MR points / 24 Karat Gold Collection for a Taj voucher worth Rs. 14,000 and 18,000 MR points / 18 Karat Gold Collection for a Taj voucher worth Rs. 9,000. Also we redeem the points to transfer them to our Marriott Bonvoy account which are transferred at 1:1 ratio. AmEx is quite generous in terms of giving you options to redeem points.
